Seven people died in a traffic accident west of Nyala in South Darfur on Wednesday afternoon.

Seven people died in a traffic accident west of Nyala in South Darfur on Wednesday afternoon.

A relative of one of the deceased told Radio Dabanga that a double cab, on its way from Garsila in Central Darfur to the South Darfur capital, overturned at Domaya on the outskirts of the city. The vehicle carried sixteen passengers.

Seven of them were killed immediately, including the driver and a woman named Khadija. Nine passengers sustained various injuries and fractures and were transferred to Nyala hospital.
