Security confiscates money from West Darfuris

Security agents confiscate money, collected for building a school and a mosque, from Jebel Moon citizens, under the pretext that they are supporting rebels.

Security agents in Jebel Moon locality, West Darfur, have confiscated a large amount of money from citizens in Manjura. They accused them of supporting the rebels.

One of the residents told Dabanga Sudan that members of the security service arrived at the Manjura's civil committee on Thursday. The committee had collected SDG26,000 ($4,322) in the area, for the construction of a school and a mosque.

The security confiscated the collected money, with the argument that they were financially supporting the Justice and Equality Movement.

The resident described the action as stealing, and claimed that there was no logic or law for it. He called on the local authorities to intervene and bring the justice to the citizens.
