Schools overcrowded in Ardamata, West Darfur, textbooks expensive

Residents of Ardamta camp for displaced people (IDPs) in El Geneina, West Darfur, said the schools in the camp suffer from overcrowding. One woman told Radio Dabanga that there are more than 60 students per class.

Residents of Ardamta camp for displaced people (IDPs) in El Geneina, West Darfur, said the schools in the camp suffer from overcrowding. One woman told Radio Dabanga that there are more than 60 students per class. She said that it is difficult for IDPs to get textbooks for their children because of the high price. Each book costs between five and seven pounds, she explained in an interview aired Tuesday.
