Robbers raid Birkat Seira in North Darfur

On Wednesday, gunmen raided the centre of Birkat Seira in North Darfur’s Saraf Omra locality.
“A group of gunmen riding in a Land Cruiser mounted with a Dushka machinegun suddenly stormed the town centre,” a trader reported to Radio Dabanga.
“They stripped the pharmacy at the Birkat Seira Hospital of all its medicines and equipment. They then robbed the Abu Gir Basic School of its supplies, and a number of market shops as well.”
The source added that the gunmen also took a refrigerator from one of the restaurants in the Birkat Seira Market.
