Retired general Ibrahim Suleiman urges against military solution in Darfur

 Retired general Ibrahim Suleiman, a member of parliament, urged the Minister of Defense and the Sudanese government not to rely on military action to solve the problem of Darfur. He said that guns have limits to their ability to deliver peace to the negotiating table. He further demanded that the Chadian President play a role in the Darfur issue by pressuring Khalil Ibrahim to join the peace talks. Ibrahim Suleiman was speaking before parliament.
