‘Rapid Support militia’ rob Central Darfur pilgrims

Elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) robbed seven pilgrims in Central Darfur state on Wednesday. They took a large amount of money and their mobile phones. A witness told Radio Dabanga that the pilgrims travelled in a Nissan vehicle from Golo and Rokoro in East Jebel Marra to Zalingei. The government-backed militiamen intercepted them in Ronga area, and robbed them of their money, totalling SDG150,000 ($26,137), and mobile phones. The victims’ names are Yousif Yahiya, Abdel Salam Mohamed, Maryam Abakar Abdallah, Aisha Adam Abdallah Abdel Shafi, Fatima Adam Osman, and Taha Mohamed Taha.
