Protests in El Salam camp, South Darfur, after RSF car crushes child

A group of displaced of El Salam in Nyala protested the death of a child that had been killed by military cars passing the camp.

Residents of El Salam camp for the displaced in Bielel locality staged a protest in front of the police office after a boy (9) was killed by a militia vehicle passing through the camp.

On Sunday at 7 pm, members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces moved through the camp with high speed, and killed Raabi Abdallah Mousa.

Sheikh Mahjoub Tabaldiya told Radio Dabanga that the vehicles did not even stop to provide aid. He said taht the displaced are angry about the reckless driving..

On Monday, a camp delegation went to the police, to request them  to visit the scene in Bielel. The displaced demand the arrest of the culprits, and the banning of the Rapid Support Forces and other government militias from the camp.
