Protest at UK Foreign Office in London

The Darfur Peoples Association in the United Kingdom and Ireland handed a demand to the London conference yesterday that was attended by world leaders to discuss the situation in Libya. The demand entailed the imposition of a no-fly zone over Darfur similar to Libya to protect civilians from aerial bombardments and attack of government forces.

Mohamed Zakaria, the information officer of the Association told Radio Dabanga that a large group from Darfur and other areas of Sudan demonstrated in front of the headquarters of the UK Foreign Office in London yesterday to put extra attention on the demand.
