Private trips in govt. vehicles banned in South Darfur

The acting governor of South Darfur state banned the use of government vehicles for private purposes today.  In Nyala, capital of South Darfur state, the acting governor, Abdelrahman Hussein Gardud, issued the order this morning. The vehicles are also no longer allowed to leave the state without permission. The decision came after a vehicle of the state’s Ministry of Health was attacked by armed robbers in the area of Dagrase, near Nyala, on Sunday. A staff member of the Ministry was using the car for a private trip with his family.Officially, the use of government vehicles for private purposes has always been against the regulations.
