Citizens in Rehed Al Berdi Locality have great difficulty transporting goods and travelling from the area to Nyala, the South Darfur capital, due to the rugged terrain. Travel between the two places this time of year can take days because of the poor condition of roads, the flow of water in the valleys and the lack of bridges. The price of a passenger ticket for a drive between the two towns increased from 80 pounds to 120 pounds per passenger. The citizens called on the state government to pave unpaved roads and build bridges to connect the locality with Nyala and with other localities.
