Policemen killed in South Kordofan

A police officer and his assistant were shot dead by an unidentified gunman in northern South Kordofan on Friday.
“Police captain Mohamed Abdallah and one of his assistants named Jowhar were killed south of El Dibeibat [Dibebad],” an eyewitness reported to Radio Dabanga.
He said that a man wearing a military uniform suddenly began shooting at Abdallah, head of police of El Dibeibat, and his assistant while they were touring the western part of the town in a Land Cruiser.
“The police chief was hit with ten bullets in his neck,” he said. “The killer then fled.”
The reasons for the attack are unknown so far.
