A policeman was shot dead by gunmen in a camp for displaced people near Kabkabiya, North Darfur, on Thursday evening.

Two gunmen opened fire on policeman Mohamed Omar at 9 pm and killed him on the spot, according to a witness in El Salam camp. Omar was on his way home from his workplace.
The attackers took the weapon, money, and mobile phone of the slain policeman, and fled.
