Policeman, Chadian commander killed in West Darfur

On Tuesday night, a policeman was shot dead near El Geneina, capital of West Darfur. A Chadian military commander of the joint Sudanese-Chadian border patrol was killed in Beida locality.
Policeman Abdelhamid Mohamed was murdered at the Abu Zur camp for the displaced near El Geneina.
He was found dead near the police post with three gunshot wounds to his head and chest on Wednesday morning, one of his relatives reported Radio Dabanga.
He said that Mohamed was robbed of his weapon, money, and mobile phone.
On the same night, gunmen ambushed Chadian commander Captain El Nur Abdelkarim near Beida town, southwest of El Geneina, as he was patrolling the area. They shot him dead, and made off with his Land Cruiser.
The vehicle was later found broken-down in the area of Gogar, south of El Geneina.
