Parliament member requests additional food aid for North Darfur

A member of parliament in the North Darfur Assembly warned of a food gap in the state. General Ibrahim Suleiman said that the state requires 1800 metric tons of grain besides the quantity provided for the IDP camps. General Suleiman said that the UN World Food Programme had promised to provide 1300 metric tons, but the international organization changed its mind and transferred the amount to Southern Sudan.
