Parents refuse medicines for children in Central Darfur

The parents of the pupils of six basic schools in Hassahissa camp for the displaced people in Zalingei locality, Central Darfur, refused their children to use pills distributed by the schools’ supervisors on Thursday. They are used for the treatment of abdominal worms. The parents, however, claimed that the teachers are not medically competent to do so. Haroun Adam Abul Shadafi, the Sheikh of the camp, told Radio Dabanga that the parents gathered at one of the schools and protested the school teachers’ giving their children any kind of medication. They stressed that there are two health centres and two nutrition centres inside the camp. File photo
