Panel of experts to review Darfur judicial system

At a meeting of the National Judicial Commission, held on Tuesday November 13 in Khartoum, it was decided to form a panel of experts consisting of three judges from the Judiciary, Constitutional Court and the Council of States, to determine the conditions of the judicial system in Darfur in terms of infrastructure and human resources, Radio Dabanga has learned.
After the meeting, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharafy, vice president of the judiciary, informed the SUNA (Sudan News Agency) about the decision to form a panel of experts. The panel of experts is expected to enforce the judicial authority concerning the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, he added.
The vice president pointed out that the panel will concentrate on the infrastructure and environment of judicial work in Darfur, to draw attention to the issue of human resources, in terms of training and recruitment, with the intention to enhance the performance, SUNA reported.
