“Abdelkarim Shumo was shot dead, and Ahmed Majeed, Abdelaziz Ahmed, and Adam Mohamed sustained severe bullet wounds. They then robbed us of all our savings, totalling 7,000 Libyan dinars ($5,010).”

Elyas described the security situation in Tripoli as “extremely difficult”, and urged the Sudanese Embassy in Tripoli to evacuate them “as soon as possible”.
