A man was shot dead, and five others were wounded in an attack on a village in Sirba locality, West Darfur, on Tuesday. Villagers of Hashaba in North Darfur were robbed of their livestock.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga from the village of Shafo Khallo, located east of Sirba town, an eyewitness said that a group of gunmen stormed the village on Tuesday evening.

“They fired at everything that moved. Abdallah Adam Mahdi El Sheikh was killed on the spot, and five others, four of them women, were injured,” he said. “They were taken to El Geneina hospital for treatment.”

He added that the gunmen robbed a number of villagers of their belongings.

In Tawila locality, North Darfur, militiamen robbed 250 sheep, 45 goats, and 10 donkeys from Hashaba village, five km south of Tabit.

“Militiamen riding on camels raided Hashaba at about 8 pm on Tuesday. “They shot heavily into the air, and took our livestock,” a villager reported to Radio Dabanga.
