The camp coordinator added that 25 cows were stolen from Dankoj camp residents on the same day.

A displaced herder of the Saraf Jidad camp in West Darfur was stabbed, and another herder beaten, on Saturday, by armed robbers, who stole 35 cows of the herd belonging to the camp residents.

On Friday, gunmen on camels stole 85 cows from a grazing area, located 15 km north of Tukumari in North Darfur.

“When we protested, the gunmen beat and whipped us severely,” one of the cattle owners told Dabanga. “Mustafa Khater sustained several wounds, and Abdelrahman Daly a broken leg. They were taken to El Fasher Teaching Hospital for treatment.”
