One dead, one injured in attack in Tawila, North Darfur

Militiamen killed a displaced man and wounded another in the Jely area in Tawila locality, North Darfur, on Wednesday. Omda Boash told Radio Dabanga from Tawila that five pro-government militiamen attacked Omar Arko (71) and El Amin Ibrahim Doak (30) at 2am. When they opened fire on the two men, Arko was killed while Ibrahim Doak was wounded. The Omda added that the militiamen then stole 100 cows. File photo

Militiamen killed a displaced man and wounded another in the Jely area in Tawila locality, North Darfur, on Wednesday.

Omda Boash told Radio Dabanga from Tawila that five pro-government militiamen attacked Omar Arko (71) and El Amin Ibrahim Doak (30) at 2am. When they opened fire on the two men, Arko was killed while Ibrahim Doak was wounded.

The Omda added that the militiamen then stole 100 cows.
