North Darfur villages raided

In an attack on two villages in Tawila locality, North Darfur, on Monday evening, four people were killed and five others were injured. Four women were raped and five people were abducted.

In an attack on two villages in Tawila locality, North Darfur, on Monday evening, four people were killed and five others were injured. Four women were raped and five people were abducted.

Fleeing villagers told Radio Dabanga that a group of government-backed militiamen in four vehicles and others riding on camels and horses attacked Katur and Bar Kendi at 8 pm.

They reported that Younes Haroun (50), Mousa Saleh Yahya (40), Abdelhamid Fadul (40), and Ahmed Idris (35) were killed. Abdellateef Adam (55), Halima Ishag Adam (40), Um El Kheir Adam (35 years), Sarah Mousa Ibrahim (33) and Zakaria El Nur Eisa (22) years sustained injuries.

The attackers gang-raped four women, including a minor. They took Eisa Abdelkareem (45), Zakiya El Nur Adam (32), Osman Hamid Adam (28), Kaltoum Juma Ishag (24) with them, after robbing the villagers of their money, property, and more than 300 head of livestock.
