North Darfur security director warns non-soldiers on carrying arms

The Security Director of El Fasher locality in North Darfur, has said that any person who is not a member of the armed forces and carries a weapon “is a criminal and an enemy that must be dealt with with deterrence and decisiveness.”

Speaking against the backdrop of the latest spate of murders and robberies by armed men in El Fasher, the director said that all the criminals who terrorise the innocent citizens are known and will be arrested.

He said that 40 vehicles have been allocated in order to secure the city's districts.

The Commissioner of El Fasher locality, El Tijani Abdallah Salih, instructed the heads of the Popular Committees of the city not to rent houses in the districts until after returning to the chairman of Popular Committees of the districts and to activate the action points and joint patrols between the districts’ Popular Committees.
