North Darfur fuel crisis: hundreds of cars queue at El Fasher pumps

The fuel crisis seemed only to worsen in El Fasher, North Darfur on Friday, even with the arrival of tankers from central Sudan. During the two days Thursday and Friday, the city experienced lines hundreds of cars long in front of the number 13 pumping station. A local shopkeeper, Nasr El-Din, said that the question of fuel supply was related to the security of convoys. He pointed to the prevailing security conditions in the state between El Fasher and En Nahud in Kordofan.  This has led to an erratic supply of fuel.
