Nine infants die in single week in Kalma Camp due to lack of medical care

Nine children aged from newborns to 9 months old passed away at Center 7 in Kalma Camp during the past week. Diseases such as coughs, diarrhea and fever have spread due to a halt in the work of organization in the camp since April 13.

Nine children aged from newborns to 9 months old passed away at Center 7 in Kalma Camp during the past week. Diseases such as coughs, diarrhea and fever have spread due to a halt in the work of organization in the camp since April 13. A sheikh from the camp said that the suffering in the camp is increasing and that death in the camp has become something common.

The sheikh also pointed out that the overall rate of weekly deaths exceeds 50 children. He  demanded organizations and UN agencies to expedite bringing aid back to the camp to give relief to the displaced people.
