Newly displaced demand arrest of perpetrators, S. Darfur

Recently displaced people from the area of Jugma in the locality of Ed Al Fursan, South Darfur, appealed to the Presidency to arrest the perpetrators of the recent crimes committed in Jugma and to bring them to justice.More than 2899 newly displaced families from the area of Jugma demanded Sudan’s Vice-President, Al Haj Adam Youssef, for an urgent intervention to ‘hold all offenders accountable’.The displaced asserted, as a relief convoy arrived at Al Salam camp, that those who committed such crimes ‘are known to all, even to the civil administration in the region’. They demanded the presidency for an urgent investigation and bring those who caused their displacement to justice as well as to compensate the lost properties and lives.File photo
