Murder, abduction in Tawila, North Darfur

One person was killed and another abducted by armed militiamen in Tawila locality in North Darfur on Wednesday.

One person was killed and another abducted by armed militiamen in Tawila locality in North Darfur on Wednesday.

Omda Mukhtar Bosh, coordinator of the Tawila camps, told Radio Dabanga that a group of gunmen riding camels opened fire on two men who were collecting firewood in the reservoir area nearby.

The men were then dragged. An as yet unnamed man died, while the attackers seized Saddam Adam Osman, and made off in the direction or Malam in South Darfur.

There have thus far been no reports of ransom or motive.
