Misseriya-Nuwayba clash leaves six killed in West Darfur

Six people were killed and many others wounded in a clash between the Misseriya and Nuwayba in Torkolmi and Tarej southeast of Zalingei. Dozens of the wounded were taken to the hospital in Zalingei for treatment, according to a source who spoke with Radio Dabanga. A witness said a similar attack had occurred on the villages Fajula and Abinay nearby Torkolmi in Zalingei Locality. Clashes between the two Arab tribes had begun in March leaving dozens killed. Violence broke out again around 9 May, again leaving dozens killed. The Nuwayba are part of the larger Arab tribe called Abbala Rizeigat.
