A coordinator for the camps in Sirba locality told Radio Dabanga that two bandits attacked a displaced girl, aged 14, at Goz Bagar, which is north of Sirba. The girl was collecting hay alone. The men took her to a nearby valley where they raped her.

The next day doctors in Sirba transferred the girl, who was in a bad health condition, from the local health centre to the hospital in El Geneina.

Road robbery

Bandits hijacked a commercial vehicle on the road to Ainsiro in Kutum, North Darfur, on Monday. A passenger said that the men, riding motorcycles, intercepted the commercial vehicle near Damrat El Sheikh Abdelbagi. It was carrying a number of passengers and 40 goats.

“They stole what was in our possession, including money and mobile phones, and then took off with the vehicle, its driver, and the goats.”

The situation and whereabouts of the driver, Daoud Mohamed Mustafa, are currently unknown.
