Miller detained in South Darfur

Security forces detained a mill owner at Sani Deleiba in South Darfur, on Saturday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a relative of the detainee reported that security forces in a Land Cruiser with tinted windows seized Mohamed Adam Eisa (42) in front of his mill on Saturday. “They took him to their office in Nyala, where they phoned us to say that Eisa was there. Thereupon we went to Nyala, but we were not allowed to see him. The security forces refused to explain the reason for his detention.” The relative said that the family demands Eisa’s immediate release “or he should be charged”. He stressed that the mill owner, a resident of the Sani Deleiba camp for the displaced, is not politically active “at all”. File photo: Security forces in Darfur
