Militiamen storm camp, injure three in West Darfur

Three residents of Armenkol camp for the displaced in Sirba locality, West Darfur, were injured in an attack by militiamen on Tuesday. Witnesses at the camp reported to Radio Dabanga that around midnight militiamen stormed into the Bir Abyad district of the camp, randomly firing shots. The shooting led to the injury of Um Aisha Mohamed Shatta (45). After the militiamen severely beat Abdallah Bakout (65) and Abdelkheir Suleiman, they left the camp. The witnesses noted they did not know the reasons for the attack. The spokesman for the Sirba camps demanded via Radio Dabanga that the police and security forces capture the perpetrators and bring them to justice. File photo
