Militiamen murder North Darfur teacher

A teacher at a basic school in Kutum, North Darfur, was shot dead in his home on Wednesday evening. A relative of the victim reported to Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen” stormed the house of teacher Jaafar Mustafa Hassan at around 9pm. They opened fire on him while he was having dinner with his father, killing him outright. “His father narrowly survived.” The relative noted that to the murder of Hassan is the third of its kind within Kutum town in less than two weeks.
