Militiamen kill three, steal vehicle with measles vaccines in West Darfur

Three people were shot dead by militiamen in two separate incidents on Monday in El Geneina locality, West Darfur. One of the relatives of the slain reported to Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen” opened fire on a farmer and his son when they were returning from their farmland to the Kireinik camp for the displaced on Monday evening.The son died on the spot while his father was seriously injured. He was transferred to the El Geneina hospital for treatment. The gunmen robbed them of their money and mobile phones. Also on Monday, militiamen ambushed a vehicle loaded with measles vaccines in the area of Boukar, south of El Geneina.
