Militiamen detain man from North Darfur market
A displaced man was detained by members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on Thursday evening, without any reason given.
The Coordinator of Kabkabiya camps told Radio Dabanga that at 7pm on Thursday, about six RSF militia members in a Land Cruiser attacked Mohammed Siddig at Kabkabiya market and put him into their vehicle at gunpoint.
The coordinator said that Siddig wastaken to the RSF headquarters in the army garrison. He expressed concern that the Siddig might be subjected to torture or ill-treatment at the hands of the militia.
He called on the human rights and humanitarian organisations to intervene for his release.
