Militiamen beat women in Garsila camp, Central Darfur

Militiamen reportedly beat and wounded a number of displaced people in El Jebelein camp for the displaced near Garsila in Wadi Salih locality, Central Darfur.

One of the sheikhs of the camp told Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen on camels and horses attacked farmers in the area of camp El Jebelein, beating  them with whips and rifle butts.

Two of the farmers, both female and one of them with a two-month-old child, were seriously injured and transferred to the Garsila hospital for treatment.
