Man maimed, livestock killed in Darfur’s Jebel Marra bombing

A man lost his legs and large numbers of livestock were killed in an air raid in Jebel Marra on Saturday. The bombing continued today.
A relative of the victim reported to Radio Dabanga, that an Antonov of the Sudanese Air Force dropped about seven barrel bombs near the village of Togi, 20 kilometres east of Golol in southern Jebel Marra on Saturday morning.
“One of the bombs landed in the orchard where Abdelshakour Adam was working. Both his legs were blown-off” he said.
Farmers told this station from the area that the rest of the bombs fell on other orchards and on pastures as well, where a large number of livestock were killed.
They said that an Antonov targeted areas near the villages of Gabes, Talba, and El Aradeib El Ashara in Tawila locality this (Sunday) morning. A number of cows were killed.
