Lightning kills 7 at Quranic school in South Darfur

Lightning hit a private Quranic school in South Darfur. Seven people were killed and nine wounded in the lightning storm in Dar El Salaam in Sergila Administrative Unit of Tulus Locality. The official Sudan News Agency reported that the students who passed away in the thunderstorm were between the ages 10 and 13 years old. The names of the dead are Mohammad Yusuf Ahmed Jamaam, Abdelrahman Yagub Yusef Jamaam, Ahmed Mohammed Issa Jamaam, Adam Mohamed Ismail Yusef, Abakr Adam Adam, Mohamed Abdel Rahman Adam and Sheikh Ahmed Jumaa. The area of Tulus has seen heavy rains and flooding that disrupted markets and cut the roads between different parts of the locality.
