Lack of health care: Children, mother die in Darfur’s Jebel Marra

The dead children’s relatives explained to Radio Dabanga that when there was no health centre of hospital for Hashim Adam Ahmed (8), Ali Musa Yahya (12), Yagoub Suleiman Hamid (14), so they were treated with traditional medicine, but they all died on Wednesday.

Listeners from the same area reported the death of Maryam Abakar (35) owing to complications in childbirth, as there were no midwives available.

Police Corporal Abdullah Abbo was shot dead in his home at El Masani district of El Fasher in North Darfur on Tuesday. One of his family members said that he was killed by unknown gunmen.
