Judge orders arrest of Nyala student activists

A court in Nyala ordered the arrest of a number of members of the Democratic Front at Nyala University. A number of students from the university said that the judge of the court made the decision during a trial of two students affiliated to the Democratic Front at the university.

A court in Nyala ordered the arrest of a number of members of the Democratic Front at Nyala University. A number of students from the university said that the judge of the court made the decision during a trial of two students affiliated to the Democratic Front at the university. On the top of the list of those ordered arrested are Ibrahim Adam Hassan Osman, Nizar Mekki and Abdulkafi. The court had subpoenaed the students Mohammed Abdul Rahman Eljaalie and Abdul Razig Abakr after violent riots witnessed by the university during the previous month of October and, upon the appearance of the two students in court, the judge ordered the arrest of the other students, in addition to arrest of those who supported the students. The session has been adjourned to the sixth of next month.
