Industry association plans development in South Darfur

The Chamber of Industry in South Darfur said that 80 percent of the factories in South Darfur are now not functioning because of power supply shortage, lack of water, high taxes and duties.

The Chamber of Industry in South Darfur said that 80 percent of the factories in South Darfur are now not functioning because of power supply shortage, lack of water, high taxes and duties. Makawi Mahjoub Sharif, secretary general of the Chamber in South Darfur, told Radio Dabanga that the Chamber sent a study to the presidency indicating that it envisages plans to develop industry and exploiting the possibilities available in Darfur.
