Hijack of Electricity Corporation car in North Darfur
Militiamen hijacked a vehicle belonging to the Electricity Corporation in El Fasher on Wednesday. In a another incident in North Darfur, armed robbers stripped the passengers of a commercial vehicle of their belongings.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, an eyewitness reported that members of a government-backed militia stopped the car at El Daraja El Oula district, in the western part of the capital, at gunpoint.
“They told the employees of the corporation to disembark, and took the vehicle with them,” he said.

Robbery
A group of gunmen ambushed a pickup truck, en route from Zamzam to Tawila, on Wednesday.
One of the passengers told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen robbed the passengers of their money and mobile phones, and fled.
