Herders accused of injuring farmer

A witness recounted to Radio Dabanga that a group of herders allegedly entered their cattle onto a farm on Tuesday evening, November 20, in Birka Saira area of Saraf Omra locality in North Darfur.
The farm belongs to Omar Adam Moussa, who was said to be seriously injured when he tried to chase the herders and their cattle away.The famer was taken to Saraf Omra for treatment.
Upon hearing the news, residents took to the streets in an attempt to rescue the farmer, but were exposed to heavy firing.
Several residents were allegedly injured as a result of the shooting. Abdullah, a local resident, was injured in his hand and was taken to Saraf Omra for treatment.
The witness added to Radio Dabanga that the firing of gunshots continued until Wednesday evening.
