Heavy rains in South Darfur collapse buildings, injure four

Four citizens were injured in Yassin and Shearia Localities in South Darfur on Wednesday due to heavy rains and storms that hit the region. The rain caused the complete collapse of a number of houses and government buildings, schools and water resources.

Four citizens were injured in Yassin and Shearia Localities in South Darfur on Wednesday due to heavy rains and storms that hit the region. The rain caused the complete collapse of a number of houses and government buildings, schools and water resources. Charles Edward, the executive director of Yassin Locality, said that the rains and storms have collapsed schools and markets in the region and local buildings, as well as toppled the water tank. He called on the the state government, the Humanitarian Aid Commission and foreign organizations to provide urgent support to the victims of rains.
