On Friday evening, militiamen riding a Land Cruiser and five motorcycles attacked the camp’s health centre run by the Ireland-based GOAL organisation, a camp sheikh reported to Radio Dabanga. “They beat and tied the two guards on duty before taking away the contents of the entire centre including medicines, vaccines, refrigerators, furniture, solar-powered generators, computers, and even the record books.” The sheikh appealed to the health authorities of North Darfur State to provide medicines “as soon as possible, especially because the rainy season diseases are spreading”.
