Five women, including two minors, raped in North Darfur

Elements of the Central Reserve Police raped four women near Shangil Tobaya, North Darfur, on Friday. The day before, militiamen gang raped a girl in North Darfur’s Kutum locality. Speaking to Radio Dabanga from the area of Shangil Tobaya, a brother of one of the victims said that troops of the Central Reserve Police (known as Abu Tira) raped four women, aged 17, 21, 25, and 28 years-old, near El Fasher-Nyala road on Friday. “The Abu Tira troops were part of the government forces protecting a large government convoy of fuel tankers en route from El Fasher to Nyala. When the convoy passed through Hillet El Doma, these gunmen seized the four women, and raped them.” KutumOn Thursday, three militiamen gang raped a 14 year-old girl in the area of Sangar, west of Kutum town in North Darfur. Kutum

On Thursday, three militiamen gang raped a 14 year-old girl in the area of Sangar, west of Kutum town in North Darfur.
