Fire in North Darfur kills two, destroys 40 homes

Sheikh Mohammed Yusif Yaqub and his wife Fatuma Mohamed Idris died as a result of a fire that broke out Wednesday in Serif Umra in North Darfur. Forty homes and a number of cattle and sheep were burnt in the fire. The fire also destroyed 155 sacks of grain. Most of the residents of the village fled to the market of Serif Omra. A source told Radio Dabanga that the UNAMID peacekeepers provided water to help extinguish the fire.
