I was trying to prepare food for my children because their mother wasn’t around. There were strong winds which helped the fire spread.”36 homes have been completely destroyed, leaving 31 families in the open without shelter and food.The victim complained that they had to put out the fire themselves with water and soil, despite there being five fire brigades in the city.

A huge fire that broke out in South Darfur’s Daein locality engulfed 36 homes on Monday, victims told Radio Dabanga.
