Darfuri refugees in Farshana Camp in eastern Chad complained of robberies at night in different neighborhoods of the camp. They also said there were incidents of cattle theft and horse theft. They said that they are exposed to pillaging and plundering on every Wednesday as they make their way back from the market. The refugees expressed fear at the deteriorating security situation, citing the imminent departure by the end of this month of the international force stationed in the region (MINURCAT). The refugees called for assistance with food and medicine to tackle diseases prevalent in the camp this rain season.
