Exchange of gunfire in Zalingei as gang tries to steal local treasury

An unknown armed group consisting of seven people tried to steal the treasury of Zalingei Locality on Tuesday night. There was a heavy exchange of fire between the armed group and the local government’s guards. The robbers were using a Land Cruiser vehicle as transportation. A source said that the treasury contained the local government staff salaries for the month of May.
