“I would like to appeal to these agencies and individual countries to pursue his evacuation,” Duma told Radio Dabanga.

The lawyer also appealed to the Libyan rebels, who took over Gadhafi’s stronghold Tripoli last week, to offer good treatment to the Darfuris and Sudanese nationals taking refuge in Libya. “I would like to ask them to release those who are in prison to safe countries,” Duma said.

‘Grant amnesty to political prisoners’

On the other hand, Duma also appealed to the Sudanese government to release all the innocent Darfuris held in the states of Darfur, Khartoum and the rest of Sudan immediately.
