Eight wounded in North Darfur robberies

Eight people sustained injuries in separate attacks in Kabkabiya locality last week,
On Saturday, militiamen in two vehicles intercepted a group of young people in the area of Girgo, 20 kilometres west of Kabkabiya town.
“Adam Haroun, Noureldin Younis, Abdelmutalib Siddig, Badreldin Abdallah Haroun, Abdellatif Mousa, and Hawa Mohamed Abaker refused to hand their mobiles, and were beaten with axes,” a relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga.

“Adam Haroun, Noureldin Younis, Abdelmutalib Siddig, Badreldin Abdallah Haroun, Abdellatif Mousa, and Hawa Mohamed Abaker refused to hand their mobiles, and were beaten with axes,” a relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga.

Some of the victims were taken to Kabkabiya Hospital, while those who sustained serious injuries were transferred to a hospital in El Fasher, capital of North Darfur.

In a separate incident, 18-years-old El Wali Mohamed Juma was shot by a herder in the area of Maalaga, 30 kilometres from Kabkabiya town on Thursday.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a friend of Juma said that the herder demanded his mobile. “When Juma refused to do so, he shot him.”

The victim was taken to El Fasher Teaching Hospital.
